I have zero desire to workout anymore. It’s such a drag to go to the gym. How did I go from supremely dedicated and fit to a lazy slovenly blob. What happened to the guy who could work 10 hour days and still hit the gym every night and on the weekends?
I miss the camaraderie of group workouts and have had a rough time going to the gym alone. This time of year the gym sucks. All the New Years resolution folks have packed the place and most time is spent trying to figure out how to work around people than actually getting in a good workout.
So the mission is to find the guy who was motivated all those years ago. The search for a new workout home is under way. I truly believe that having a support system around you is key, as well as a fitness goal such as running a Spartan Race or Tough Mudder, or even a triathlon or marathon.
Today is day one of dedicating myself to being that fit guy I was a few years ago. It is also the 10th day one of finding that elusive fit guy. This time I will find him, and make him stop sitting around pissing away time on Facebook and Instagram, Except to post those workout selfies.
